Sample Lesson for "Caring"

Sample Lesson for "Caring" in the Kindergarten level from the Character Links Program. The goal is to build good character traits in students through a solid character education program.

 

Caring

Grade K

 

Definition: CARING means being supportive and responsive to the needs of others with kindness and compassion. A caring person is nice and helpful.

 

 

Lesson Tell students they are going to learn more about the word CARING. Read the meaning of “caring.” Read the following scenario: Leketa was playing on the playground and fell off of the slide and hurt her arm. Ask students to tell how they could help Leketa. Invite students to tell about a time when someone cared for them when they were hurt.



School/Home Link Tell students to ask a family member about ways to care for someone who is hurt.
