Positive Learning Systems (PLS), formerly known as Character Learning Systems (CLS), is a nationally recognized company whose mission is to develop products and services that have a positive impact on all stakeholders in the educational arena. The result is an academically empowered, socially responsible, ethically-driven environment which promotes an improved quality of life and opportunities for students, their families, communities and businesses.

Positive Learning Systems® was originally incorporated under the name of Character Links, LLC in 2000. It was founded on the desire of the company’s creator to provide a simple-to-use resource that would help teachers, students, families, and businesses seamlessly integrate good character into every aspect of life. PLS leverages the powerful resources of school systems to impart vital life lessons that will help children, families and communities promote good character everywhere people live, work, learn, and play.

Its nationally recognized core product, Character Links, utilizes a unique methodology that ties grade appropriate academic skills to character building activities that foster family involvement. Initially piloted in the largest school district in Louisiana, the Character Links system helped improve school climate, positive behavior, good character awareness, and parental involvement. Since that time, Character Links has continued to be reviewed by independent evaluators annually with findings remaining consistent among diverse, economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds. Results include positive improvements in achievement scores, discipline, attitude, behavior, and parental involvement.
